Taking a much more cartoony, visually appealing approach to the genre, Planet Coaster may be lacking in strategic depth, but it gives players a remarkably flexible set of tools with which to create spectacular rides.Ĭhallenge and Career modes are the closest approximation to playing a classic theme park management game, but the Sandbox – which gives players an empty plot of land and unlimited funds – is where some of the most impressive creations can be constructed. While you can have overlapping zones it is difficult to edit them when they are overlapping.Currently one of the most popular theme park games on the market, Planet Coaster is yet another title from the theme park video game experts, Frontier Developments. You cannot however add more then 1 zone to a worker. My mechanics however shouldn’t be in such small zones. I like to have small zones for my janitors since I wan’t my park to be clean. Having zones itself isn’t bad but the way it’s used in Parkitect is. + Editing the colours of the props! Don’t like a green tree? Don’t worry. No need to close it if people complain about a ride taking to long. + Editing the ride time while the attraction is open. + Editing the cue while the attraction is open! Yes I can just make the cue longer or shorter while people can continue to enjoy the ride. However those workers do cost extra money and don’t always have anything to do. That means you have to employ extra shop workers if you don’t want a shop to be closed for a period of time. And when they do they go to the staff room to rest. However it could be that if I give 2 janitors roster area 1 I will end up seeing them working at area 3. + My janitors not sticking to their roster. Meaning if I where to move that building it would leave the shop behind. If I have a shop in a building and want to move it to another building it will not become part of that building.

Yes I also listed it as a pro but it’s also a con. + I cannot seem to edit the ride time when the attraction is open. This will make all people leave the attraction. However in order to expand it I need to close the attraction first.

Yeh sometimes I end up making a cue that is not long enough. + Not being able to edit a cue unless you close down the attraction. You can also use one of the premade blueprints. All shops are the same basic box and you can use the building props to create a nice looking building for them. So if I have a staff member that I want to have a bigger roster I can just assign the multiply ones I have. However I also don’t want a million rosters. I have small rosters for my janitors because I wanne make sure the park is clean. + Adding multiply rosters to a staff member. When adding a path you can choose the width of a path. In real life paths aren’t in a straight line either. Parkitect is a more pixel styled game and has static props. It has props that have it’s own animations. Planet Coaster is a more realistic theme park game. Parkitect has water rides while Planet Coaster doesn’t. The Planet Coaster base game has 40 rides + 35 types of roller coasters. For Planet Coaster I own the base game + the dlc’s Adventure Pack, Magnificent Rides Collection, Spooky Pack & Worlds Fair Pack. When it comes to Parkitect I own the base game + the dlc Taste Of Adventure. Having played both I thought I would do a small review with it’s pros and cons of both games. So besides Parkitect I also got Planet Coaster last week.
